School Policies

  • TUITION DUE DATE: Payment is due on the 1st of the month. If payment is not received by the 15th of the month, your lessons and rehearsals will be suspended at the School’s discretion until you have contacted us to arrange payment.
  • REGISTRATION FEE: A one-time registration fee is billed at the time of sign-up.
  • PAYMENT METHODS: Payments are processed by pre-authorized credit/debit card only. We do not accept personal checks or cash for monthly tuition payments.
  • LESSON CANCELLATION AND MAKEUPS: We require 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel and reschedule a lesson. Any lessons canceled within 24 hours are not eligible for a makeup lesson. Makeup lessons must be redeemed within 60 days. Make-up lessons cannot be stored in lieu of a monthly payment and all make-ups must be scheduled while your account is active.
  • HOLIDAY CLOSURES / INCLEMENT WEATHER: School of Rock is closed for the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.
  • We do not offer makeup lessons for the above holidays. Because School of Rock is billed monthly, there are typically about four months out of the year when a student may receive five lessons per month at no additional charge. This balances out any missed holidays and we strive to ensure that every student receives an average of four lessons per month over the course of a show season.
  • In the event of a closure due to inclement weather, a make-up lesson will be offered. However, the date and time of weather-related make-ups will be assigned and may or may not be with the student's regular instructor.
  • SUBSTITUTES: Most of our staff are working musicians who tour & perform locally (and occasionally get sick). When we have an instructor out, we will do our best to provide a substitute instructor at your normal weekly lesson time. Sometimes, we have to make adjustments to the time or reschedule a lesson entirely. We may not have the opportunity to give notice that a substitute instructor will be teaching your lesson until immediately prior.
  • A student who is granted the Performance Program Off-Premise release will be issued a pass (held at front desk) and allowed to leave school during breaks to get food, go to a nearby store, etc. The student will sign out, staff will pull child’s card, upon return student will sign back in and staff will return card to secure location. As stated, the student will be required to sign out as they leave at the front desk and has to sign back in upon their return.
  • HEARING PROTECTION: School of Rock students and staff are required to wear ear protection during rehearsals, shows, and in any room that is at a decibel level of 85 or above. Students may bring their own, or School of Rock has earplugs available for purchase.
  • CLAIMING YOUR PIKE13 ACCOUNT / SIGNING WAIVERS: Sign the online waivers inside your online SOR Account. You will need to complete this once as the parent and second while you review the waivers with your child and sign with them. You must claim your Pike13 account in order to gain access to the Method App. See enrollment handbook for details about our Method App and Method Books.
  • OFF-SITE WAIVER: To ensure the safety of our students, School of Rock requires that every student, of any age, remain on School of Rock premises unless accompanied by a parent or guardian including at pick up time. A parent or guardian may grant School of Rock permission to allow their child who is 10 years of age or older to leave School of Rock premises unaccompanied by the parent, guardian or adult by signing an off-premise waiver. Students 10 years of age or older will not be allowed to leave the premises unless a parent or guardian has provided School of Rock a signed copy of this off-premise waiver.
